Irene , on June 5, 2018 at 11:00 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 22
I’m getting married 10/6/2018!

Wanted to see when other October brides were planning on sending out their invites?

Thanks!!

Well I'm almost an October. September 29th. And we're sending ours out around the middle or end of July

Because my wedding is a destination wedding, we are sending the invitations this month. We are planning this wedding in 7 months so we didn't have time to do STDs so we decided to do the invitations earlier to compensate for no STDs.

Date twins! I'm planning on sending mine out on 07/23 - we're having a decent amount of people who have to travel but for the majority of them it's in the 2-3 hour range so I'm not as worried since we did do STDs. I may send them out sooner depending upon if I get antsy though. Haha.

My wedding is October 6th and we will be sending our invitations out at the end of July. Beat to give your tests time to RSVP and find sitters for children if it's an adult only affair.

    October 7th bride here!

I'm planning to send mine out towards the end of July, early August. I figured that would give them enough time to make arrangements; they already know the city and date due to the STDs and the website so hopefully they have already started planning! Smiley smile I also figured that gives me enough time to receive RSVPs, reach out to those who procrastinate sending RSVPs, and provide an accurate number to my vendors.

October 8th here!! We actually are just in the process of ordering them now (getting the template made then going to Vista prints or something) and thinking about the beginning of July. We are having a DW wedding but sent STD's but we need to have a headcount by Sept 8th so I think beginning to mid-July (I know if we say beginning they will go out mid July haha) would be best.

October bride myself, we sent ours out in late july just in time to arrive in early august for our OOT guests. We wanted to allot enough time for people to make sure if they need to arrange anything that they had time.

Thank you everyone for the input/advice! Looks like mid-late July would work for us since we did send out STDs and most of our guests are local.

We were clueless on the timeline for sending out invites. We are having a DW on 10/27 and sent them out in February. Oops. We wanted people to have plenty of time to look for deals on hotels and flights and get time off though. We hadn't even thought about STD but honestly I think they are pointless. I don't really regret sending them out so early though

Sending them sometime in July for 10/7, some of our guests are OOT and we'll be gone towards the end of July.

10/5/18! We are sending out some invites in the next couple weeks (we have out of country guests) and the rest by early July. I just want to make sure people have enough time to book accommodations. I’d say about 1/2 our guest list is from out of town...maybe even 60%.

Getting married 10/27, sending invitations 09/14. 6 weeks ahead. Most of our invitees are local though.
