My fiancé and I are getting married October 26, 2019. We’d like to honeymoon shortly after so looking for a destination that has nice weather for end of October/beginning of November. I’ve looked up a lot of options but I feel a lot say that it’s rainy or it’s hurricane season. We are seeing a travel agent next week but I’d like to go in with some ideas. Help!!!

We are date twins! We struggled with finding somewhere to go too. Our top choice just wasn't going to work because of the weather so we had to save that for our next big vacation. We decided on Thailand (it was on both of our "must-see" lists anyway) and we're so so excited. We're working with a travel agent as well to make it simple and it has been a breeze. She put together a full itinerary with flights, hotels, and tours all booked and included in the cost and it's really pretty reasonable for what you get.

My FH and I want to go to Japan. The weather varies wildly depending on where you are since its goes vertical on the map, but it wont be too cold and most spots will have the beautiful fall trees. Anyone have tips on cost cutting on a Japan vacation? Also, does hiring a travel agent really save money in the long run? Thinking of hiring someone

Date twins! We had the same thoughts as far as weather and hurricane season. With the amount of time we have off work though (and cost of the wedding lol) we decided to take a mini trip from Monday -Thursday after the wedding to somewhere 4-5 hrs away from us. Just a low key and relaxing few days somewhere we’ve always wanted to visit. And then next spring for our 4yr anniversary of being together we’re gonna take a big trip. Probably somewhere warm and tropical (without hurricanes lol)

I’ve been to Australia! It’s really amazing. Aussies are extremely nice and they have a thing for Americans lol. But it’s extremely beautiful there. Do you know where in Australia you are going? If you are going to Sydney which I highly recommend then you must go to the National Opal Museum and obviously the Opera House. Fun fact Australia is the biggest opal supplier of the world and it’s the birthstone for October. Australian Boulder Opal is so beautiful. The museum was a lot of fun. The Opera House is breath taking. They give a really good tour of the building and talk about its history. Those were my two favorite places I went too in Australia

We are getting married on October 17, 2019!! It’s coming fast. But we choose a Thursday wedding because our guest list is small about 55-60 people so we are saving a ton of money by getting married on a Thursday but we thought a lot of our guests would want to do a weekend trip and stay to see us a bit longer. So our honeymoon will probably be done in two parts. We will probably take some time off to be with friends and family who stay longer then we will do a short trip just the two of us. We haven’t really talked too much about where we want to go for our honeymoon. I just want something small since I have a lot of exotic animals and plants that aren’t easy to have someone else take care of while we are away so the maximum amount of time we can leave is 4 days. 4 days is a long time for us to be away anyways and that’s really all I want to do. We have talked about going up to Nigeria Falls so we will probably end up doing that. Or maybe do a trip to Boston.

Washington State is GORGEOUS. Especially by the beach! You can go for a STUNNING little hike through the forest and then POOF it's like you stepped into a black and white painting. The gray water rolling on the white sand and enormous black rocks jutting upward from the sea to the sky! The water turning white when it crashes against them is absolutely amazing! The breeze is salty from the sea and earthy from the mountain behind you and when you walk the beach itself there is beautiful driftwood naturally pilled up and bleached.
    IT IS AMAZING
There's also this really yummy icecream/cheese place called Tillamuk around the area, in Oregon I think, and it's worth the trip!!!
It'll be a chilly trip, but that's my favorite type! Lol
whether you go there or not though, have fun! And I hope someday you swing by Washington State just to see what I mean!! Lol God bless!!

When we do finally go on a honeymoon i think we're more than likely going to go to Aruba. We've heard so so so many great things about the location; has anyone been to Aruba for their honeymoon?

Same! we are more than happy to just be able to celebrate our love with the wedding so if a honeymoon has to wait that's okay. we already own our home and have a 1 year old as of next week so getting married was just next in line Smiley smile

I really wanted the Grande St. Lucian but it was just way too pricey. I should mention our honeymoon is a gift from my in-laws. We settled on Sandals Regency La Toc. I’m excited! Any of their three resorts in St Lucia seems amazing!

Also, they say if you go to Sandals splurge on getting a butler level room. It makes all the difference! 😊

We are getting married 10/19/19 and just booked our honeymoon to Secrets Capri in Cancun to depart 10/21/19. The rates were cheaper because it’s off season and we were able to get a really nice room ocean front with whirl pool for a very reasonable price. We took out travel insurance so worse case scenario we can cancel and rebook later in the year.

Were leaving the 19th of October for our honeymoon and we decided on Italy! There are a lot of good options through travel agents and they can give you some suggestions on what would be the most popular/ or more in your interests that would work with whatever weather.

We went to Waikiki, HI years ago. If you go through a travel agent to plan, they may be able to find discounts for you. For example, our travel agent booked our hotel room with a wedding block that had extra rooms reserved, which we were not attending. We even had a nice wedding welcome package in our room waiting for us on arrival.

Or, check out Airbnb, VRBO, and HomeAway for potentially less expensive options.

    It's a beautiful city, you'll love it!!!
