October Mountain Wedding in Colorado

Elizabeth, on September 28, 2016 at 1:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

Hello! I am just wondering from past brides who got married in October where did they get married? I am very into the outdoor wedding in October. Please help having a hard time narrowing down where I should look or where it is pretty in October in Colorado.

Do you live in CO? I just got married in Telluride! We chose early September so we could all enjoy being outside during the day though, as it gets pretty chilly at night that time of year. You should have some beautiful seasonal changes for your date!!

My cousin just got married outside of Littleton this past April. It was beautiful. It was a huge old mansion up in a hill. Not sure if any Colorado people can help me out. But the scenery was beautiful!!

Figured it out: The Manor House!

October in the mountains in Colorado is cold. It could be snowing already in some parts. So outdoors may be a tricky option. Especially if you want a longer ceremony.

Are you looking for mountain resorts? State parks? What's the budget range of your venue/ price per person for catering?

Willow ridge manor is a pretty affordable place is Morrison that had pretty views.

All the ski resorts local hotels do weddings.

I am looking to do anywhere in Colorado that is pretty our budget for the venue is from 5k-7k. I only have 34 guests coming to the wedding tops 40 I am born and raised here and had to convince my fiance to have a wedding here because he wanted it back in California where he is from. But I love Colorado too much.

We are also thinking a Sunday morning wedding. I did find one place that I fell in love with in Grand Lake, CO but it is way out of our price range it included everything besides food and beverage which had to be from a caterer was close to 11k

We are thinking of just the ceremony outside I have planned on giving out blankets and such and the brides maids dresses are long sleeve and long with a furry Shaw over it.

    Evergreen lake house

    Willowridge manor

    Keystone Resort

    Winterpark Resort

Those would be where I'd check to be in that budget range. The picture below is evergreen lake house. I'd check on evergreen lake house first to see if it's in your budget. It's about an hour drive from Denver Airport. Where all the mountain towns are atleast 2.5 hours drive from DIA. Pretty much every guest needs to rent a car for DW in Colorado.

This place does all inclusive weddings for 100 guests including rental of the B&B for your wedding party for I believe around 10k. They may be able to work with your budget considering you'd have a smaller guest count. It's of 285 which is about an hour 20 mins from the airport.

Ha yeah. It's a beautiful venue!

Willow ridge would have a different feel than evergreen lake house. It's right by red rocks.

Chautauqua in Boulder, Co is really pretty!

I didn't personally do research on ski resorts.. but I'm pretty sure winter park, keystone or Arapahoe basin would be the most affordable areas.

Breakenridge, beaver creek, vail and aspen will be more pricey.

I'm not sure about steamboat, telluride or crested butte? Those may be hard to get to for out of town guests though?

Telluride is definitely a bitch to get to. 2 flights then a 90 minute drive from the closest airport. It's a special place to us so it was worth it. We only had 41 guests though. I had friends get married in Estes Park and that was stunning too. And inexpensive! This is us right after the ceremony Smiley smile
