Our officiant (rabbi) was $1000. But that fee included multiple pre-marital counseling sessions, and the rabbi was a family friend and gave us a big discount. In my city, the average cost for a reputable rabbi to officiate a wedding is around the $2k mark.

Price depends on location. Add the word wedding and nothing is inexpensive. In a major metro city, I have not seen anything under $300 for an elopement with bride/groom/one witness all the way up to $1000.


Getting ordained through the marriage license office is cheaper but you run the risk of the friend/relative not filing paperwork properly and you end up not being married at all.

Ours is 495.00 this includes both Rehersal and Ceremony

We used a pastor/family friend who did not charge us, but we gave him an envelope with $300 after the wedding because he also provided 8 weeks of premarital counseling.

I've got my eye on a couple in Phoenix with a wedding studio that will charge as little as $100 for us and 2 witnesses. Or $160 for just us and they provide witnesses. All you need to bring is your marriage licence, and you can be married within 2 days.

They also travel, but I don't know how much they charge for that.
