Officiant Attire

Alicia, on February 23, 2019 at 4:11 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Please help! My officiant just asked what to wear, and neither my fiancé, nor myself have considered this yet.

A little background on our wedding... we are having a sunrise beach ceremony at a GORGEOUS hotel on the beach. My fiancé and his best man are both wearing a tan suit (sans jacket), sleeves rolled up, a tan vest, brown shoes, and a blush colored tie, and my bridesmaids are both wearing a blush dress.

What are your thoughts on what our officiant should wear? I want him to stand out a bit, as he is our officiant.

Sounds like a lovely ceremony and wedding!

For our officiant I literally just told her what colors people were wearing (I was wearing a white dress, he wore a gray jacket and pants, and our best man wore navy blue slacks with white shirt, and my best lady wore a navy dress). I didn't suggest any colors to wear and she ended up wearing a white top and teal skirt which ended up being so perfect.

For yours, if he needs an extra nudge on what colors might be ideal so it wouldn't clash with your neutral/breezy colors, I would probably tell your officiant to wear light gray or light blue or sage or navy.

Hey Alicia! Your wedding sounds beautiful, I love sunrise ceremonies!! Agreeing with the above, I would say to stick to something more neutral like a grey or blue!
