Hi everyone. I'm pretty set on my sister being our officiant, but honestly, the amount of information online has been overwhelming to say the least.

Has anyone had success with having someone legally become officiant?
Where did you start?
Did you cover the costs of them getting certified?
And what avenues did you take on making it happen?

If you are happy to have your sister officiate your wedding and she is happy to do it, then that’s amazing! Before you start the process, I would recommend looking into your state marriage laws about officiating a wedding as some states do not recognize online ordination.
