Officiant Thank You Gifts!

Taylor518, on January 8, 2018 at 5:02 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

We are having a family friend officiate our ceremony and I want to give him a nice gift as a thank you as opposed to some cash. So I am curious for those of you who have had a friend officiate, what did you give your officiant? I am thinking a substantial gift card to his favorite restaurant in town and maybe something else? A framed photo of us and him from our wedding day?

Thank you for your help!

The idea of the gift is really sweet, but ultimately he's performing a service. Tip him, he'll really appreciate it.

Ours is also a family friend who refuses cash. He's very into watches, so we are getting him a personalized watch storage box and later once pictures are returned we will give him one in a nice frame. I think doing a gift card and picture would be really nice. If he would accept money, you can do that too.

I definitely think gift cards are a great way to go. My dad is a pastor and is officiating our weddings. He appreciates every gift he's been given over the years, but I know his favorites have been gift cards to restaurants or movies so he can take my mom out on a date night.

My brother-in-law officiated (my husband’s brother) and we got him a new golf bag with his favorite college team logo on it (University of Miami). He was absolutely thrilled!
