Hello,

Can anyone recommend reputable sites for someone to get an officiant license online?

The first place I would start would be your local courthouse/marriage court. States vary a lot on their requirements when it comes to officiants, and some don’t permit online officiants at all. I would see what their requirements are first, to ensure the marriage will be legal.

First check with the office that issues marriage licenses in the county/state you will marry in. They will tell you in layman terms what is legal and what is not. Some states allow you to have a person of your choosing (family /friend) ordained for the day, if you decide that an established vendor via Google is not for you, and they will fill out legal paperwork with the county. Many states do not recognize online ordination companies as legal at all even though the businesses that issue them claim that they are valid and legal in all 50 states.
