Maybe we can have like 10 mini dance floors! Move the tables out of the way after dinner and put dance squares where 10 people can be in each square lol. Trying to get creative here!!

So excited!!! Ours is in August and we are waiting for our venues wedding planner to come back to work (she was furloughed) so we can get some more details. Hoping DeWine gives us some clarification soon on the rules! I love the mini dance floors idea 🤣
We are going to go ahead and order our invitations since we at least know we can have it now!

Me too, look on the ohio.gov. corona site there are guidelines for venue's as of right now no dancing, but hopefully that will change soon. My wedding planner actually quit. Said she wasn't comfortable with covid. Actually, put in the termination letter 'because you most likely won't have a reception' 'you won't need my services' Glad she gave me my money back. She was useless anyway. In the process of hiring another for just month of. Let's hope Dewine relaxes the dancing, I mean he has to by the end of summer/fall of that would be insane. Unless cases were to rise or something.

I understand not wanting to have the normal dance floors as of now but I think there’s definitely a way we can be smarter about it. There’s got to be a way to formulate some type of compromise. No dancing at a wedding reception would just be silly. I think we need clarification on the bar at the wedding too. As of now, you can only drink while seated. And I don’t think you can order from the bar, it has to be brought to you. Also curious how cocktail hours would work if there isn’t a place to be seated. We will just have to do some more waiting 😬
I only have two months until the wedding but I feel like we came so far in the past couple months and people are being a lot smarter about things now (for the most part).

I agree! there has to be some type of compromise as well. A lot has changed in just 2 months. We have to keep the faith. I am going to get married regardless, because I want my dog in my wedding and I just found out she has cancer. FML. F, 2020. So I am not budging on the wedding. Otherwise, I probably would have rescheduled. So regardless, I will get married and have some type of reception hopefully. If no dancing, I have 7/31/21 on a soft hold for just a celebration, but I don't know if I even want to do that. May just cancel, but I feel bad because my mom would lose 5,000. Although she would save 10k not having a reception too.

We ordered our invitations yesterday and had to put down a large deposit with our venue for half of the minimum so no turning back now!
