I am going to be having a beach wedding. I need to be in punta cana 3 days before the wedding. Meaning I will be dipping the pool all day and when the wedding comes in 3 days I dont want to look like I put straw in my hair does anyone know where i can get good quality extensions? Ha I figured i should ask

Im not sure where you can get good quality extensions from as I am in the UK, but I went to a beach wedding a year ago in November in Mauritius and I had hair extensions in. We were there for two weeks and my hair stayed pretty neat. I used Moroccan argan oil as it keeps the extensions supple and smooth and applied it straight after coming out of the pool or sea. I would also plait my hair when going in the water rather than leaving it down or in a ponytail as that could cause more matting.

    I hope this helps!

P.S in my avatar I have hair extensions and this was day 10 of the Holiday! Lots of snorkelling, boat trips and swimming!

I have hair extentions for over 2 years now. If you get good quality ones it wont matter if you live in the water. Good extentions come at a high price though. I pay about $200.00 per bundle, my sister is a hair dresser so she puts them in for free, the cost to put them in is about $600.00. Make sure you purchase "real" hair. I use the bonding method of extentions, so basically she bonds each strand to my natural hair. They look real & nobody ever knows I have extentions. Make sure you find a professional who does them and you'll be fine. Not sure what state you live in, but I would do some salon research. Most important thing is you purchase real hair.

I'm getting hair extensions also. I'm in the Suburbs of Chicago. I'm getting Fusion hair extensions which is what amanda b has. There between $600-$1000+ depending on the hair you choose. There costly but worth the money. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for.

I officiated a vow renewal on a boat on a windy day. I could see where the "bride's" extensions were attached to her hair. Does that mean they were not "good" extensions or does that happen with all extensions on windy days? (I've never used them and know nothing about them.)

I think it depends on the grade of hair extensions you purchase. I hear they have brazilian, malaysian, virgin, but remy extensions last for months at a time.

Ha love comments. You are right it it's all about the grade of hair. Gonna start saving my pennies for the great quality hair. I plan on swimming alot ha and that is kryptonite for me. See after we get there we have to be there 3 days before marriage..so yeah nit trying to look frizzed out.

My hair stylist I talked to told me always go real. That seems like a no-brainer. She also said it depends on how they put it in- like PP said, bonding to the hair looks best and most realistic. You can do clip ins on the day of if you're worried too. I havent had them done and am concerned about it but still considering it!
