Old, New, Borrowed, Blue - Do or Ditch?

Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue... trust me - you'll be asked more than once if you're doing this tradition!! Are you honoring this tradition and rounding up your four good luck charms? Are you doing or ditching this tradition? Photo by Rebecca Carpenter...

    If it happens it's by coincidence... My dress is new and my ring has some blue stones, but I'm not trying to fill in the rest

    Im going to be wearing my late grandma's pearls on the big day so it counts as 2 because they are old and my sister has then so they are borrowed. My garter has a little blue bow on it so there my blue and my shoes are new 😍

    I'll probably have all of these by coincidence;

    New - Dress

    Borrowed - pretty sure I will end up borrowing something

    Old - Unlikely I will NOT use something I already have

    Blue - my engagement ring has sapphires in it Smiley smile

    I think this is a cute tradition that can be fun to do as long as it isn't a ton of work. The men are wearing navy suits, my dress is pre-owned, my veil and shoes are new, and we'll probably be borrowing our cake stand/cutting set or vases/jars from friends for our flowers so it's just happening on its own.

    Ditched it. Or more accurately, forgot all about it. Had planned out a couple things of the four but when the day came I forgot completely.

    The plan right now is to do it, but if I don't get around to it I won't be overly concerned.

    Doing it by coincidence too!

    Old - I'm using my mom's old pitchers to serve drinks in at the reception.

    New - My dress

    Borrowed - My FMIL has loaned us some of her books to use as a cake stand and I've borrowed a lot of the dishware.

    Blue - My wedding colors have Navy blue and my veil I'm making using a blue lace that I wanted. My main stone in my engagement ring is also an aquamarine (blue) and I have a blue hair clip.

    Haven't decided. If I have the time and manage to do it without compromising on anything I value more, I might do it.
