Oleg Cassini and also adding sleeves or Bolero?

Denee aka Now a Mrs, on August 7, 2010 at 7:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I have had problems with the Casablanca dress I just bought-the train has a tear in it and it is tulle,so the only real way to fix it is to shorten the train :/

I wanted a cathederal train and it's only a Semi-cathederal to begin with-I'm just not willing to sacrifice it.

So I have purchased the Oleg Cassini ct291 from DB-I tried it on before I bought the Casablanca and I couldn't get it out of my head! I will have to try and sell the other gown since I obviously won't get to wear it.

Back to what I wanted to ASK: Has anyone added sleeves or found a beautiful bolero to go with their gown- especially the Oleg Cassini...?

Yeah, the casablanca was as is...It would be fine for someone who wouldn't mind a shorter train and it really was a beautiful gown too.

I just love the Oleg cassini-I was 'trying' to save us some money and force myself to fall out of love with the OC gown..lol,guess it was meant to be after all...

I have a very religious family and so I'm trying to be considerate of them-I actually (suprisingly!) don't mind the strapless.

I LOVE the Oleg Cassini too! The other girls at DB said "you've had 3 kids?" lol,it flatters me well I think Smiley smile

I bought my dress from DB, its not Cassini but its a simliar style as yours. I actually did add sleeves to my dress. I'll post pics after the wedding if you want to check them out. I ordered extra fabric from DB when I ordered the dress to add the sleeves (to make sure the dye matches although its all white satin).

Thought I'd respond about the sleeves here instead of the other thread. ^^

Here are some suggestions for a wrap, sheer, sleeves etc, that I found:

    1) http://www.wraporshrug.co.uk/department/bridal_shrugs/

    2) http://www.designingbride.com/store/index.php?cPath=3_15

    or perhaps a custom one?
