What really cracks me up is people who come to NYC and NJ, arguably the mecca of Italian food outside of Italy, and....eating at OG.

Every time I've had olive garden the food was cold and/or frozen. Just trying to help.

@Celia...I know, right? And it's so overpriced compared to the legit Italian-American places in the area. Plus tourists queue up for three hours to eat that.

This being said, it's a budget-friendly catering option. Their tiramisu ain't half bad.

My step sister did! They loved it and so did the guests. Everyone loves Olive Garden! Maybe you could do decorative baskets of breadsticks on the tables if it fits into your decor!

I like the salad and breadsticks. That's about it. However, it is food, and catered. Look around as others have suggested for non-chain restaurants or BBQ places.

Coming from somebody who also enjoys dining in every now and then as a guilty pleasure too, I don't recommend it. I have catered from there from work before and unless they plan on setting up warmers, I find their food is cold and turns into this weird mush really quickly.

I'm not a fan of Olive Garden, but I would be happy that you are feeding me with catered food. We live 500 feet from an Olive Garden and anytime someone comes to visit their first reaction is, "It must be great living so close to an Olive Garden."

We have had Olive Garden cater other events for staff gatherings. It's not bad. They loved it for a staff banquet because it was very different than the food we have in the facility. They give you the burners and everything if needed.

I've had it for a rehearsal dinner and it was pretty good. We had a variety of choices and it stayed fresh.

It's bad food at a more expensive rate than an actual experienced caterer. Wouldn't recommend.

We are doing it for our rehearsal because it's cheap and a crowd pleaser normally.

Side note, FH old roommate asked his girlfriend to marry him at the olive garden in nyc when they were on vacation. I couldn't help but laugh and think you could have saved your self the trip and just done it here.

Olive Garden is my favorite! I've considered this option as well. Haven't had their catering though.

Idc if it's at a wedding or not, I'll eat all the breadsticks and alfredo. Personally, I would love this as a guest, but I love carbs

I am a coordinator as a profession. We use Olive Garden for our catering all of the time. The great majority of people love their food. It is cost effective and they deliver and set-up. I am personally having my backyard wedding catered by Olive Garden as it was one of my top choices, next to Katzs Deli.

I'm Italian. I'm not OG's biggest fan, but I have had some BAD wedding food. I would've much rather had OG!

ETA: I've had their food at work lunches, and it was good in bulk.
