I'm still in shock. I just took it just to see... because I have been feeling weird the past 4 days, cramps and my boobs are super sore and have been sooo emotional... My period was due yesterday... I dont even know how I feel... I could barely pee! I had just gone a while ago but I thought what the heck, its probably just my imagination. So I was suppossed to hold the stick on the stream for 5 seconds and since I had just peed it was only there 2 seconds so I thought, its going to mess up the resutls but there they are, TWO SOLID RED BARS! I am happy but... Our insurance cover maternity only if conepction happens 30 days

The usual rule of thumb is 14 weeks pregnant (which is actually 12 weeks after conception, because of the whacked out way that gestation is calculated), but if you see a healthy heartbeat on the 8w u/s and you don't have a history of miscarriage, you have a 98% chance of live delivery. (For women with a history of m/c, the chance of live delivery after a healthy heartbeat on the 8w u/s is about 82%.)

Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15533362 (Actually, they studied women who got u/s between 6 and 8 weeks, but not seeing a heartbeat before 8 weeks really doesn't tell you much--some babies develop faster than others.)

Oh, and I'll cross my fingers for you, but don't get too excited about the lack of nausea yet--a lot of women say they didn't get it until about the 6 week mark, so you've got another couple of weeks to go. :-)

Have fun.. I actually enjoyed my symptoms (weird, right?) but I didn't have nausea until a little later and that's actually what made me decide to test.. it wasn't a lot or anything, just dizzy car sick like.. you may not have too many symptoms right now, but you'll have more likely the more far along you ar.. Smiley smile enjoy it.

I just have to share this, ladies! Hahaa. I have a cat, BiBi. Well, for the past week I have had this feeling of hate towards her! I know! I swear, sometimes she annoyes me so that I just want to kill her! I know, its so bad but thats what I feel. Maybe my baby will hate cats. Poor BiBi. Smiley sad

How are you going to tell your man? I came home with flowers, a six pack of Blue Moon and a bucket of KFC (his favorite). I handed him an open beer and told him to sit down.. lol

What are you going to do??? Gotta make it special! Smiley smile

Man I loved my pregnancy boobs! I wish those would've stayed instead of the extra 10 pounds that doesn't want to leave my stomach!

    Congrats!

The insurance thing is confusing me....in most states it's illegal to consider preganancy as a pre-existing condition and at some point in 2012 it will become illegal for any insurance to do that.

Now, if your company is self-insured, i.e. they have another company process the claims but pay the claims themselves, it could be they are not subject to state law.

I'd wait until you go to the doctor's and get the official "You're pregnant." news before sharing. While late, you could have a false positive.
