I'm still in shock. I just took it just to see... because I have been feeling weird the past 4 days, cramps and my boobs are super sore and have been sooo emotional... My period was due yesterday... I dont even know how I feel... I could barely pee! I had just gone a while ago but I thought what the heck, its probably just my imagination. So I was suppossed to hold the stick on the stream for 5 seconds and since I had just peed it was only there 2 seconds so I thought, its going to mess up the resutls but there they are, TWO SOLID RED BARS! I am happy but... Our insurance cover maternity only if conepction happens 30 days

Hello ladies! Sorry, it was a long weekend, lots of things to do, bbq's and all. So my husband is super happy! He keeps talking to my tummy! Hahaha! I planned how to tell him, but its a long story! Hahaha. But he wouldnt stop smiling, hugging and kissing me. We pray for our baby everyday.

I also did research about the pill, thats why I decided not to take it. Too many side effects. A friend, a biology high school teacher, is the one that told me after her own research she found out it prevents implantation. Either way, true or not, we decided to just leave it in God's hands and 87 days after the wedding we are expecting our fist child! I am so happy.

So far, my cramps have been reduced significantly. My sister told me that happens sometimes because you are dehydrated so I have been drinking lots of water and it has helped. Another symptom I have that I dont like, is that I am so irritable! I keep arguing with DH for the silliest thing and then cry for nothing. Thank God he

@Sarah N. No, no that's not how I meant it. Its just that we have put EVERYTHING about our relationship in God's hands and we thought, why not do the same thing about conceiving. I researched the pill and I'm a wimp, hehehe. I told DH, then fiance, and he also read on it and we did not like the side effects. We also have friends, a married couple, who used the pill for a couple of years, and it took them almost the same amount of time to conceive. So we decided to not use anything now, and after the first, we might consider something else, or the pill, who knows. I also read that besides all the side effects, it reduces the chances of getting ovarian cancer. We will see. Smiley smile

Btw, I announced to the world at 3 weeks of pregnancy. Yes I do have risk to have miscarriage but I have a very good feeling about this.

Congrats to you too Mrs. Cupcake! I think I am about 4 weeks, based on the 1st day of my last period, April 29th.

How are your symptoms? I just feel mild cramping now and then, otherwise, if my boobs weren't sore, and my period weren't late, I would not know I'm pregnant. No other symptoms. I keep checking the toilet paper everytime I go to the restroom. I know, I need to be more positive. I think my biggest fear is ectopic pregnancy. Sometimes my cramps feel more on the right side so I googled it and I found out that its normal since the uterus seems to point more to the right or something. I google everything. lol

Wow you and I found out super early Smiley smile Average pregnancy women find out is like 6 to 8 weeks. My mom actually found out at 7 weeks with me as her first child. Aww well when can you make a appointment to see the doctor? Well my breasts is tender, drinking a lot of water, nausea, not eating much foods BUT that is okay because my Pea is feeding off my egg until second trimester. And that is when I should feel better and the cravings begin. I am supervised closely because I have one in two chances to have handicapped child since I am handicapped as well. Mild cramping is normal Smiley winking Please just relax and do not worry about that because you have high risk to have miscarriage since it is still very early and it is your first child. Just take prenatal vitamins and relax even that may be hard lol. It is hard for me as well, my husband keep telling me to relax lol. I also take B6 vitamins as well for nauseas, energy and lower the risk of miscarriage. You should buy What To Expect book Smiley smile

@Mrs Cupcake: What do you mean your "Pea is feeding off your egg?" It might be a dumb question but I thought I'd ask anyway Smiley smile

I havent scheduled a doctor's visit because our insurance wont cover maternity until we have had it for 30 days, before conception. We have only had it 15 days so I'm waiting to make the appointment, someone here also suggested that. I feel fine, that's why I havent scheduled anything yet. I am eating right and have been taking prenatal vitamins since February. Ok, I will try to relax, will be hard, but will do Smiley smile

I am so happy for you. We are currently trying and I got my first month of no baby, it's so sad when you want it and it doesn't happen. I know youve been trying and I am so so happy that you shared with us. Always puts a smile on my face when someone is expecting. Good luck with your pregnancy!

I call my baby Pea :p It is not a dumb question at all. It is hard to explain. My doctor told me that right now my baby is feeding on the egg inside of me. In second trimester, that is when cravings begin and the baby only eat the nutrients from the foods and drinks we take every day, especially from vitamins we take. I am very new to this lol, so I may not make sense at all. I think the reason why I got pregnant fast because I was only on the Pill for three months in my entire life. BUT my mom was on Pill for a year then got pregnant with my brother ASAP. It does depend. BUT I did heard that many women now today have harder time getting pregnant than back in the old days due to Pill and etc. Amber, good luck the average time is a year to get pregnant. So you still have a lot of time. Who knows, you may be pregnant on honeymoon Smiley winking

The reason that many women may have a harder time conceiving now is primarily that the age of first childbearing has gone up--fertility is in steady decline after age 25 or so, although it's not usually seen as a major issue until after age 35. Given that it's possible to get pregnant ON the Pill (it's not even particularly unusual when "perfect use" isn't maintained), it's not going to significantly delay fertility for anyone.

    Good luck, Amber!

    And hey yourself, Elizabeth. :-)

@Amber, we actually wanted to wait at least a year. Since we were hesitant about using birth control, we decided to just let it happen. So 87 days later, since the wedding, we are expecting. I have heard that when you think too much about it it takes longer. I think since we really hoped to get pregnant a little later in the year, it just happened. You will conceive when its time, there's a time for everything. Best wishes. Smiley winking

    Thanks, Mrs. Cupcake. And congratulations!

I know you mean well, LC, but as someone who has had issues TTC, there are really few things more frustrating than having people tell you "there's a time for everything" or "it'll happen when it's the 'right time'" or "you just need to relax." As a friend of mine who struggled with infertility once said, "Patience does not cause pregnancy."

Aww... I'm sorry, it must be hard and hearing words like that doesnt help.
And what you friend said sounds right, "patience does not cause pregnancy." Sorry for saying that.
