One month left!! What am I forgetting??

Alyssa, on April 7, 2016 at 8:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

I get to become a Mrs. one month from today! And I am so excited to marry the love of my life! I have been creating list after list, but what else am I missing? We still need to finish some road signs and reserved signs, Seating chart (if we ever get the rest of the RSVPs back), finish lawn games, iron the table cloths we bought, clean wine glasses we bought, finalize music for DJ, confirm with all vendors, buy gifts (when do you give people gifts btw?), pack everything up for getting ready and the wedding decor. What else should I be thinking of a month out?

Also... any must have things for the day of the wedding. We are getting ready at the venue about 30 minutes from our house. Any tips, or fabulous suggestions?

It is almost here! I just can't wait for this last month to finish up!

    Marriage license? Day of timeline?

Gifts can be given at the rehearsal dinner if you're having one. Send rehearsal dinner invitations.

Have a little kit for the day of? Pain killer, bandaids, upset stomach tabs, tampons, and baby powder (or bandalettes, or monistat anti-chafing, etc).

My plan for a month out will be to pack things into tubs in groups (guest book with the pens and signs, table decor with the linens, cake knife, etc. etc.). Make a list of that stuff too so whoever is cleaning up knows what to grab and what belongs to your venue/caterer.

Day of bag. A little bag you can have at the venue with little things you might need. Different shoes, dental floss, tampons if needed. And all the last minute vendor payments in envelopes

As weird as it sounds PENS. People will walk off with your guest book pens without thinking about it.

    Bridal emergency kit...

    Tide pen

    Tissues

Pay everyone, marriage license, make a timeline, transportation day of, somewhere to stay night of? I'm in the same head space, 8 days left, I'm sure there's SOMETHING I'm forgetting.

Also I'll be doing gifts in the hotel after rehearsal dinner. You can also do them at the RD if you're not staying anywhere

We are getting married the same day! Smiley smile I can't believe it's almost here. I feel like I'm forgetting something too. I'm calling people this week to get the rest of my RSVPs in. I feel like everything is pretty much ready and there isn't much left to do...make sure you get an appointment for your nails if you're getting them done for the wedding. I need to do that too! I have a box with my shoes, jewelry, garter, tape, underwear...etc. It's packed and ready for the big day! Also if you have any thank you cards to give, get them done before the wedding so you don't have to after.

If are going to be tipping vendors you should probably set aside (in individual envelopes) your amount you want to give. One less thing to worry about for the day of.

I'm getting married the same day. I keep making lists after lists, and yet it seems as though nothing is getting marked off. Ugh. We got our marriage license yesterday, and I think all the main things are done. The details are the hardest work! Also... I keep getting the advice to choose someone not in your bridal party to help the day of. That way if there are any problems, they can deal with them so you don't have to stress Smiley winking

Others have given lots of good items for your list! Something on mine that I don't think I saw yet is have your ring cleaned the day before/day of for extra bling in pics! Also, I'm planning to pick up a newspaper from the day of to take a picture with our rings on the date.

Congrats on your one month marker! Tomorrow is my 15 day marker and these milestones are so exciting!! Take a moment to enjoy these moments and open a special bottle of wine with FH or have a glass of champs Smiley smile It sounds like you are on the right track. If you have your day of timeline get that out to all your vendors and your BP party, get a list of all vendor contact information together and send that out to a couple people in your BP in case anyone needs to contact a vendor for you on your big day, break in your wedding shoes, write any toasts you'll be giving at reception or rehearsal, confirm arrival times with all vendors and enjoy!!

I was going to say ring cleaning and engraving. I have to start all those detail layouts because my venue coordinator is setting up everything for me, so I want to mock out the tables. Escort cards, seating chart and alcohol order are all on my radar right now. Also, dress steaming and getting ready food!

Congrats!! These ideas are great, and actually really helpful for me too Smiley smile Also, don't forget any toasts that you plan on giving. Vows? Also, don't forget a card/pen to write a note to your FH the morning of the wedding if you are doing that.
