I am torn between two dresses! Help!

Dress One (Mori Lee) Notes:

- The color in the photos is caramel. I would order it in ivory. I cannot find any photos of the dress in ivory because it is from the spring 2017 collection, and do not know if it would lose some of its pizzaz in ivory only.

- I would NOT add the belt

- Here's the link to the gown, which is also only pictured in caramel. But, I think it shows the back better: https://www.morilee.com/product/bridal-wedding-dresses/morilee/mariela-wedding-dress/

I like #1 but can understand your hesitations on the color. I didn't think it looked too dark until it was next to the ivory one. Personally don't like the train on three.

I know someone already said it but Casablanca will let you mix and match bodices and skirts. One of their dresses I was looking at I was going to add a lace edging from another model around the bottom of the skirt. I think it would have cost like $200 is all.

So I didn't go with any of these, BECAUSE an amazing consultant helped me realize Mori Lee had made my dream dress.

Just an update too, but I tried dress 1 on in ivory (tracked one down). I didn't like the tulle in ivory, at all. I also decided against the caramel color because of our venue.

I'll post photos tonight once I get to my laptop!

Ok, ladies! I promised I would come back.

I seriously had the BEST consultant at a local boutique on Sunday. I tried on dress one in ivory with her, and did not like it, at all. The glitter in the tulle skirt reminded me of a prom dress in the ivory. I just could not get over the caramel color with our venue, either.

She looked at ALL of the dress photos of what I had tried on so far (which was a good 25+ dresses), listened to what I wanted, pulled some additional dresses (including the Maggie suggested here) that I had found online, but then told me, "I have your dress."

As soon as she showed me her choice, I told her no-go, and that another boutique had shown me the dress but I had nixed it (without trying it on) because of the straps and the sheer on the front. She grinned and told me that other boutique clearly did not know their dresses.

We tried on about 6 or 7 more gowns, including ones at the top of my budget, then she put me into her pick...and I knew as soon as I put it on that she was right. (AND, it's at the low end of my budget; it is actually the least expensive gown I tried on!)

So, this is my dress on the model because it fits her, and I'll post it on me below.

She explained to me that the straps can be removed, AND that the dress comes with a modesty panel for all the way around. But, that I can have the modesty panel cut just to cover the front and leave the back with the illusion back.

Once I put the straps on, I actually like them and they are so delicate and sparkly. So, we then decided I may do the strapless for the ceremony, but have eyelet hooks added to the straps to add the straps on for the reception.

I am also going to add a little bit more crinoline under the skirt to "poof" it just a little more.

This is literally every element of all the pieces of other dresses I loved combined -- lace, a bit of drama (but still soft) on the skirt, sparkle, and the illusion back! I AM SO EXCITED for it to get here...in August!

And here it is on me!

It's bunched a little weird because we had to cram the modesty panel in since it didn't have anywhere to attach it to the dress for try-on.

The back shot, you cannot see the illusion as well as on the model because of the clips, but this photo was taken with the (very sheer) veil I purchased so that I do not lose the back detail during the ceremony or photos.

Just for the hell of it, she took the modesty panel out so I could see what it would look like without it in the front too. I'll be adding it back in as I do not want to give our Gran a heart attack... Smiley winking

Here's also a photo with the straps. The photo does not do the sparkle justice, though!
