One point bustle

lilchameleon, on February 27, 2019 at 8:57 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 31
My seamstress felt like this bustle with just one loop and button would work best with my dress. I’m a wedding photographer, but I’ve honestly never seen just one point. Anyone else having a bustle like this? She just pinned it to show me, we know it’s slightly off center.

I like it fine! I just thought maybe there’s a logical reason I’ve never seen it before, like maybe it doesn’t work or something lol.

I’ve just learned about bustles while being engaged, and in WeddingWire lol. I think the bustle goes very well with your dress!

I think it looks great!! My only thought/concern would be, if you had two or three point bustle you have extra support on there just incase someone steps on your dress and the one point doesn't hold up!

The one point is not appropriate with every gown. I find that not all seamstresses use it. For instance, I have an almost 7 ft train. No way I could have your bustle. It works perfectly and your photos will be beautiful!!❤

I think it’s beautiful, but I would have SERIOUS concerns about it holding up all night. People still step on the edge of your dress and I’ve seen many brides with broken bustles

This was my thought. Is it worth asking your seamstress for ideas to make sure this doesn't happen?

(P.S The lace detailing on your dress if gorgeous!)

It looks beautiful. I think a lot of dresses are too heavy to do this which is why it isn't seen a lot.

Beautiful! I think I'll have a one point bustle after seeing this (I have similar lace detail).

I’m doing one point bustle on my dress & I love it! The dress has to be light in order for this bustle to hold up. If your dress is indeed light, I would definitly go for it!

Well, that one point could be reinforced by having two invisible points below it to support the train better. The point is less likely to break if there is less weight on it.

I’m having a one point bustle and she’s also putting hidden buttons under the pockets in my dress so if I want to pull it in more I can. I think it looks beautiful with your dress and is really pretty with most dresses that are lacy
