Online RSVP review!

Cass, on June 1, 2017 at 6:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

So we just sent out invites (RSVPs due July 1 since the venue needs final count by July 10) and already had 4 families RSVP online using the wedding wire tool!

Heard from the guests and they apparently LOVED how convenient it was and how easy it was!! On the front of the RSVP card I wrote out exactly how their name is on Wedding Wire. On the back of my RSVP cards I wrote out instructions on how to RSVP online. It went so smoothly!

For sure recommend using the built in wedding wire RSVP if you are doing them online!

I think that was a great idea with instructions on the back of the cards, it seems pretty easy on the website but you never know. Glad it's working for you and your guests!

Don't get your hopes up just yet- This is how it went for me:

Maybe 25% replied immediately. The rest were like pulling teeth. People either couldn't figure out the website (some people even went to the "contact us" at the bottom of the page, said hi, and assumed that was an RSVP!), didn't realize they needed to RSVP, lost the card, thought we should just "know they are coming", etc. It's been terrible.

The guest list and RSVP's have been the worst part of planning, and I'm sure the seating chart will follow suit! Ha.

We used another site, for a free wedding website and RSVP. We've been married for a few years and I thought our online responses were miraculously successful; 248 of 250 invited guests responded 10 days before our due date.

I'm using AnRSVP for my wedding this May and I already can't say enough great things! It is very user friendly, super easy to navigate, and the most customizable site I've found. AnRSVP even let's us customize the "attending" and "not attending" phrases so that they matched our theme! If preferred, they do offer a website service too so that everything can be in one spot.

I also like how they do open RSVPs so that we don't have to input everyone's name. Our guests will know if they need to put a plus one based on their paper invitation. We can also set how many people can respond per household while using the open RSVP feature. Even the confirmation page of the RSVP can be customized, which I haven't found anywhere else! We made ours link to our registry and our hotel blocks.

If you are looking for an easy way to have your guests to RSVP to any event, give AnRSVP a try!
