Online Wedding Dress shopping

Heather, on September 27, 2019 at 10:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
Ok so I need some advice....I have my dream wedding dress saved on Pinterest and am able to buy it online through a company based out of the USA but I’m skeptical about how trustworthy these companies are. Has anyone else purchased their dress online, for <$500, and what was your experience or your thoughts? Honestly, the dresses that I’ve tried on in the stores are not for me in that their styles aren’t my type. Any advice is appreciated!

Does the company have any reviews that feature customer photos?

They do! It states the company is based out of L.A. too. I’m just worried about the integrity of the fabric if I buy a dress that’s <$500.

Whats the website? I bought my dress off cocomelody.com. I was very skeptical at first and spent many hours looking at every review and picture imaginable. After tons of research and finding a dress i loved, i bought! I ordered it during their black Friday sale(2018) and ended up spending close to $300. I purchased the custom sizing from them and spent a good week chatting with an agent through email on my measurements to make sure my dress was perfect! My biggest concern was my arms since i ordered a long sleeve dress and i don't have skinny arms. I wanted to make sure i didn't look like the hulk ripping out of the lace.lol They were amazing on the communication and measurements I sent in on my arms and other areas they needed. It took about 40 days for the dress to get to me, you can pay for it to come sooner but i wasn't in a rush since my wedding wasn't until next December(2019). I got my dress mid January and while it did have a fishy smell, it was beyond beautiful! Exactly like the picture and fit me like a glove! I wouldn't but from jjhouse or heboes honestly. The smell has since gone away with the dry cleaning i had done to it. The sleeves fit me so well i cant believe i have a dress that my arms feel amazing in long sleeves!

Wow thank you for this recommendation!! I’ve found like 10 dresses I love from this site! And it’s great to hear you had a wonderful experience. I’ll probably just go through this site instead as it seems to be way more trustworthy than the others.

As someone who lives in the vicinity to their LA showroom and who had an appointment there, the dresses are surprisingly well made for the price. I’ve attached a couple of pictures from my appointment. While I didn’t ultimately get my dress from them, there was one that was definitely in the running.

I know how you feel, I was the same way. I bought my dress on stillwhite.com and got an incredible deal. It’s the most comfortable and beautiful dress I’ve ever seen, so don’t let “online wedding dress shopping” deter you. Here’s mine:

I bought my dress through Amazon for $100 and love it. I recommend reading all the reviews, especially if they have pictures. Another bride I see on here bought hers through Etsy and loves it.

I found my dress online through an Etsy shop called BlushFashion. I kept in in my closet, folded, for over a year and the lace nor slip showed a single sign of wrinkles. Her quality is amazing and her craftsmanship is superb. She offers custom sizes as well as custom orders. She is located in Israel so did did have some concerns, but everything went smoothly. I actually ordered two of her dresses before landing on "the one". Both shipping to and from were very quick and her staff was very responsive and respectful. I couldn't recommend them enough honestly.

I’m thinking about getting mine from Amazon too. Do you have any pictures of yours?

I don't have good ones of me in it. (I accidentally deleted them so my FW wouldn't see) I ordered mine in white and it is just what I wanted.

That one is on my list! Is the fabric soft or stiff?

It is so soft and feels great. It's not itchy at all. I plan to wear it all night.
