Online Wedding Invitations???

My fiancee and I will be getting married on 9/19/2020. One of our concerns is the impact COVID19 will have on our day so we are trying our best to be optimistic but also trying our best to prepare for the unpredictable and adapt. We have been brainstorming different ideas to ensure that if our wedding has to be cancelled due to COVID19 we lose the least amount of money.

One of the ideas we thought of is sending online invites instead of paper. With the rationale that, if it has to be cancelled due to the unpredictable we would not have wasted money on invitations. I know its a little unconventional, but what are your thoughts on online invitations? Also, do you have any other ideas to save money during these uncertain times?

I think it’s a great idea to do online invites especially with Covid looming over everything. It’s also a great way to keep guests up to date if you need update them on anything!

Send out paper invites to the elderly folks who dont know ho to use the computer

I have th same dilemma but unfortunately I do not feel comfortable with online invite. magnet street is having a 75% off on their wedding invites so if unfortunately you have to change the date then you wouldnt be spending too much money on the invites.

Also create a wedding website out the info on the th invites to keep people updated it things do change.

Hello,
I’m really for online invitations. We used greenenvelope.com and was really impressed as were our guests. We used a beautiful song for the invitation which played when our guests opened it up.

It saved cost and it’s sustainable. Saving the trees!
