Online/phone Rsvps (no reply cards)

Jasmine S., on July 21, 2021 at 9:16 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hello all, my family and I are working out how we want our invitations to go. To save on postage, I would like to give guests the option of RSVPing through our wedding website or phone call. This means there will be no card or small envelope to mail back, just an insert with a link to our website and the phone number. We do have a few guests who are in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, but they know how to use the internet and they have Facebook so I don't think this will bean issue for them.

Has anyone else done this? Did it create any major problems or did it work out the same way? Thank you so much!

We're doing this! We wanted to save on paper waste and money, so our RSVPs will be online on our wedding website.

We aren't including an insert with our information. Instead, we're using the 4-panel layout on Minted for our invitations. They'll basically look like a card that you can open, and our wedding details will be on the inside. This is where we'll have our website address listed!

Hi, I did this as well. I had people responding via text/phone/email. I gave them multiple options. I agree save the money! So far I’ve had a few RSVP with no issues. Just sent my invitations out this past weekend.

We did strictly online through the knot and love it! So far we haven’t heard of any issues. We added the wedding website url and a QR code. I love how each guest can add a note. People can only RSVP the people listed too

We did it - online, by phone or just in person... I think if I received a card RSVP that I would have to post, I would call instead ;-)

My husband and I did electronic RSVP for our minimony and we're also using it for our upcoming reception. Obviously for grandparents we will have to help them lol but everyone else was able to do it on their own without any problems!

Everyone knows how to use the phone even if they can’t navigate a website.

Most people had no problems with our online RSVP. A few people didn’t realize it was listed on the back of the invite, but that was about it. Save that $$ !

My mom told a couple of my aunts that I am only doing online RSVPs and they raised a stink about it. I'm still holding firm to that (I'm not paying another $75+ for only the 2 of them to send back). They know how to use Facebook. They can send me a message through there if they really can't figure out the website. Or have their children RSVP for them, honestly. Save that money for something else!
