Only 2 People Attending Bachelorette Party

Kathryn, on September 23, 2019 at 3:06 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
Just looking for some advice: my lovely and awesome MOH planned an overnight trip for my Bach party in a city located 2 hours from where I live. We are just doing dinner and drinks, and then going to a dance club. My town doesn't have any clubs, and this is the next closest city.

We invited 12 people, assuming not everyone would be available (5 of whom are bridesmaids). Bach party city is home to 4 of the invitees, and the rest of us live in my town and will be able to easily carpool. It's a Saturday, so no one will need to miss work.

I wasn't part of all the planning, but I know MOH included everyone in discussions and budget talks. They settled on a $100 per person price point, which includes all costs for the whole trip (hotel, dinner, drinks, uber to/from club).

The party is in 3 weeks, and my MOH has just broken the news that only she and a friend are coming. Everyone else RSVP'd no - no one has talked to me about it, so I'm not sure reasons, etc.

Would you guys still have your party even if it's only 2 people? I just keep imagining myself in a dance club being sad that we have such a small group. I had hoped for a "girls night" vibe with a bigger group, at least for the dancing part since I never get to have a relaxing, let loose type of evening.

Thoughts?

Initially my Bach party was just going to be two also but I decided to cancel it and reschedule. Which honestly I'm glad I did. It ended up being three later which isn't super better but it got to include one of my friends who couldn't make it to my wedding anyway so that was nice. For you though, I think that's fine Smiley smile you'll still have fun with who you're with.

Yeah, I guess I'm just hurt they all picked this weekend for their schedules (I actually had to move things on mine), and they picked the price, and most of them aren't coming. I'm actually paying for the hotel room now since we won't be splitting it with multiple people. I don't want the 2 attending to pay more.

I can imagine feeling disappointed, but I would absolutely still have the party. Events are oftentimes even better with fewer people!

My mom hosted my bachelorette. It was a wine trip. I had one friend. She was pregnant. The rest were ladies in their 50s. It was pathetic but fine. Have fun with your friends!

Go and have fun with those that can make it and ham it up. You are fortunate (even though the #s aren't there) to have a BP...its not an option for some of us. So have a blast!!!!

Girl go out and have an amazing time!!! That let you know who your true friends are. I am pretty sure everyone has their reasons for not being able to come... I do apologize about the heartbreak, but have a great bachelorette party!!!

I understand your frustration girl! I would be a little disappointed too, but just remember to have an awesome time no matter who is there! All of my bridal party (4 girls) ended up making it to my Bach party, but that was not without a little bit of drama along the way. I hope everything turns out great!!
