I think if you regularly wear opal and love it, then it would look great with your dress. Opal does come in many shades, so you could always choose a more bridal, white opal!

I agree with Rosie. Go with the more white toned ones and they'll look lovely. I have opals in my bridal headpiece that will go in front of my veil, my opals have a bluish tint for 'my something blue.'
