Opinions - Disney table names

Melissa, on March 24, 2011 at 7:14 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 30

So FH and I are both huge Disney fans. we are not having a Disney themed wedding per se but I was thinking it might be nice to put little touches here and there. Mainly I was thinking of doing our table names as Disney songs instead of numbers. Do you think this is a dumb idea? Our colors kind of go with a fun loving Disney thing (yellow, pink & turquoise).

I was also trying to figure out a way to work disney into our Candy/Sweets Buffet. ANy suggestions?

Oh and we're not doing Disney songs for our first dance or anything like that either. So I don't know if that affects your answers either. Thanks for your thoughts.

I think it is cute... songs - or characters - or movies.....

How many tables? And you have heard of the hidden Mickey's at Disney? right?

You can have some hidden Mickey's.

That's exactly what I was thinkinf Hayley! I was going to get rhinestone circles to go on my bouquet in the shape of Mickey ears. I don't want it to be obvious.

We will probably have between 11 & 15 tables.

Melissa....My daughter works for Disney. She is putting her BS in Criminal Justice to good use, but I am not allowed to say doing what. They are not having a Disney themed wedding, however, she is planning on incorporating it into her wedding as well. I think Disney Songs would make wonderful names. You could even make the card a blank Mickey face, or whatever character goes with the song. Like.....The bear, Ballu??? in Jungle Land for..."It's Just the Bear Necessities".

Love the Disney sticker idea! I am writing it all down for my Cate. Sure hope you don't mind Hayley. Since hopefully, it is a 2012 wedding, I planned on begging your help anyway.

Thanks Hayley. HOpefully, they just made settlement on the house. Hopefully, her Tacori is coming soon. I know they have discussed September of 2012, and my Cate is a total princess.

I was at a wedding, and right as dinner was being served.. they played the song "Be our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast... it was kinda cheesy but fun.

I think that sounds like a cute idea Smiley smile If you are in the US, the dollar store has some really cute containers and then go to the local craft store and get a bunch of Disney stickers and you are set.

We are doing a Mickey and Minnie cake topper FOR SURE. my wedding might be 18+ months away, but that's one thing I know. obviously, I'm concerned with only the most important details Smiley smile

instead of songs, you could also do cute quotes from Disney movies. something along the lines of I love you so much, and I will forever... that's not a direct quote from anything, but you get the idea Smiley smile

I love the idea. Get a Disney map and use the street names or different park names for your tables.

I think it's an awesome idea. Maybe you can do like, 5-6" cutouts (for the placeholder card that goes in the middle of the table) of a character from the movie where the song is from.
