Opinions on guest book and gift table, are they necessary?

Lindsey, on December 7, 2017 at 10:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Just wondering how necessary a gift table/guest book would be. We will have a card box set up and our wedding registries are online, I'm just unsure if I need them or not..

Instead of a traditional guestbook, we're doing a canvas they can sign. It is something we can actually hang up and reflect on, because who really looks through the guestbook again? We're having a gift table for the simple fact that if people do bring physical gifts(instead of cards I'm assuming), where else are we going to put them?

You don't need a separate gift table but you do need to have some place to put gifts. Some guests will always bring gifts to the wedding rather than have them delivered prior to the wedding as they should. Guests can put gifts on the same table as the card box. If it has a floor length tablecloth, you can move gifts under the table before they are taken to a more secure location.

I painted this globe and we are going to have our guests sign it!
