My wedding is so so close and though I look ok, I don't look as fit and trim as I'd like.

I have PCOS and hypothyroidism, making it harder for me to lose weight. In high school and college and I was super thin and this condition crept up on me just 3 years ago.

I have an elliptical and I eat pretty healthy, but once in awhile when FH brings home something unhealthy it's hard for me ignore! Has anyone tried juicing? There's a juicery in my town but it's really expensive ($200 for a 3 day cleanse).

I'd like to try it for 2-3 weeks (and hope I can last that long!). Has anyone done a cleanse or juiced for a longer period? I'd love to hear your experiences.

Just add a green juice every morning first thing.

Didn't read the comments.. In no way would I ever spend that kind of money on a cleanse! We invested in a Nutribullet for a little less than $200 and I use it daily. I pack it with fruits and veggies and a very small amount protein powder and water. That's my go-to breakfast and sometimes lunch. I've been doing it for a few years and u have so much more energy, my skin has cleared up and of course I've dropped a small amount of weight.

These "cleanses" are severely unhealthy for you. Please don't try this. ESPECIALLY for 2-3 weeks. Just eat less and work out more often/more intensely.

I juiced a year or so ago just to try it and I lost about 13 lbs in a week (more than half of that was probably water weight) and felt great but the weight came back as soon as I started eating actual food again.

I'd suggest cutting all sugar and lowering your carb intake. You'll still lose a bunch of weight from water retention quickly, but it's healthier overall. (And you won't miss chewing.)

I tried juicing for a full 13 hours until I broke down and ate a giant sub. I have definitely made it longer than that on a completely empty stomach. Try 21 day fix or one of those that don't discourage eating solid food!

Junk science that renders your body in starvation mode--and with liquid poops to boot.

Substitute light salads or broth-based vegetable soups for more meals. At least then your digestive tract will signal to your brain that you're consuming actual food.
