Order of wedding party

Kristin, on April 13, 2022 at 10:14 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 2
Hello All!
We have a big wedding party - 9 on each side and we are getting married on the water in front of the ocean - we are hoping for a sunny day! My fiancé has 2 daughter in the wedding party in exchange my nephews are on his side. I am having a hard time determine if his daughters should be closer to me or all kids at the end. Further, his best man is dressed differently and my brother- as my brother is the honorary Father of the bride- Do I put the best man and then my brother or put it the best man, his brother and then my brother? This may seem silly yet I want to get it right. I only get one chance at this! Thanks so much in advance for any comment.

If your brother is the honorary Father of the Bride, he wouldn't stand up at the altar. FOB usually walks the bride down the aisle and then has a seat in the front row.

Of course, if you want him to stand up with the groomsmen too, there is no reason he can't! Just mentioning that is how it traditionally goes.

Thank you. Good point. My brother is a groomsman too so he will stand in front of my fiancés brother since they are dressed alike I guess…. As far as the girls go I have my sister as a maid of honor and bouquet like mine and then a brat Bridesmaid (introduced me to my fiancé) and Junior honor (my niece) - all 3 have different bouquets - do I put those 3 near me or just let the bridesmaids be in order of tallest to shortest with the Junior Bridesmaid at the end …? I say tallest to shortest due to thinking of it in one picture or maybe this is a question for my photographer …?
