Ordering a dress without trying it on

Aliza, on August 2, 2019 at 11:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Had anyone done this? I like a dress that's fresh off the runway, so there's no (realistically sized) dress to try on. The designer really doesn't have anyone similar (especially in terms of construction and chest area), but I can try something on in a similar silhouette. I'm still going to other dress appointments to see if I can beat the dress, but looking for advice from people who bought something without trying it on at all.

Well this is not me per say, but my sister picked a dress she saw online. The designer only made one and it was off the runway. We ordered it and it should be here next month. The shop we got it at was shocked that we found it. She had to specifically talk to the designer to get here before her quince. It's crazy how it happens. But she is very worried and wonders if she'll like it. I told her its q beautiful dress and if it's what she wanted, she will love it. I can let you know later how it goes when she does get it. It is a one of a kind cause it's not even out yet, so she feels very special.

I've seen the trunk show sample in person, held it up against me, but there's no larger sample and there may not be until sometime in 2020. Had I not seen the dress in person, I doubt I would think it would work for me. There are still questions I have about it fitting me, though, hence why I'm looking for advice.

I definitely picked a dress online but since I didnt trust the site I saw it on noe nor could I find the desinger/legit site or store to buy from, I ended working with a company to get it custom designed. They sent me a measurement guide and once i receive my dress, I'll try it on and see what will need to be altered. I'm a bit nervous but I'm super excited at the same time.

I ordered mine online without trying on that specific dress/designer before. I went to Davids bridal to get the sizing I would need confirmed first though. The dress fit and only needed some minor alterations.
