Ordering from Sofie House

Hmmm... I heard this website is China knock off! Did it say when the expected shipping etc.? My girls ordered their dress off itsy.com for $36

Here's my girls dress, price is Awesome, but high quality. it shipped early than it said as expected date. I wonder if there's a way you can cancel your order from them and check out itsy.com

I have heard lots of good reviews I was going to order my wedding dress from there but found one I loved on DressilyMe.com. I really don't care about it being from China what isn't from China now a days anyway!!!

So just wondering how this worked out for you? I live a wedding gown on their site which I can't find a similar one anywhere else. But very hesitant to buy something like this.

I received my wedding dress from Sofie House.........stunning! I am so happy and relieved. It is exactly as it showed in the picture and the exact size. Absolutely perfect. I was pretty nervous after I ordered and then read all the reviews. I couldn't be happier. I do know that I am just one of a few good out comes but still, I needed to share and let others know that sometimes it's NIT too good to be true!!!

I did NOT have a good experience with sofie house. First, they took 2 months longer to get my bridesmaids dresses to me than they originally told me. For 2 months they came up with a different story as to why the dresses weren't done. These weren't normal excuses, this was like I was emailing with different people who had no idea what was going on so they just gave a new reason each time. Then, when I received the dresses, they were not in a jersey knit material like advertised. They were in a really cheap, scratchy, satiny polyester. They had old fashioned drapery on the hips and it was sewn upside down. One dress had a huge cut out hole in it. It actually had scissor marks. It was as if they just forgot to sew that layer in place or something because if I folded it under it was hidden, but any movement and it was falling open. That isn't the worst part. Their return policy states that damaged items or misshipped items can be returned. These would fall under damaged or misshipped due to the totally wrong fabric, and part of the dresses being sewn upside down. I asked for a refund to which they agreed, but I had to ship the dresses back to them to get the refund. I asked for a prepaid shipping label and they said they couldn't provide one. After going back and forth, they agreed to refund my shipping cost to China in addition to refunding the dresses as long as I returned them. So I did. I paid 108$ to return them. They did refund the cost of the dresses, but never refunded the shipping costs. When I contacted them about it they just kept saying that they did refund the shipping cost, but they didn't. So, if you do decide to order from them, which I don't recommend at all, don't pay to return anything... just dispute the charge with your credit card company if they won't give you a prepaid label. Always double check the return policy, too. I had 6 weeks to order 3 new dresses and ship them to my bridesmaids in another state. I couldn't see them or check them out before shipping to them because we didn't have time for them to get the alterations done. The ones I ordered from a reputable online wedding site were cheaper, way better quality and ended up being gorgeous... and shipping was quick. All of my bridesmaids were plus size also. Just don't waste your time, money, or stress on sofie house.

Just wanna offer some feedback that’s a little more current. I just received my wedding dress today, and I love it. I am a size 8, but I ordered a size 10. And it’s still a little tight. The best thing you can do - which I did not do - is get your measurements taken at an alterations shop or somewhere. Then use that info to order the dress. I will post a pic after I lose my weight and look fabulous for the big day.

Sofie House is absolutely fantastic and I recommend them highly!! My wife had gone to every major department store in our area looking for a mother-of-the-bride gown, and she was not able to find anything that appealed to her. Department stores just do not have the inventory that they had years ago. She also visited a few boutique stores and also experienced disappointment at those shops. I happened to come across the Sofie House website one night after doing a lot of searching on her behalf. My wife loved the dresses on the website, but since there were not a lot of reviews of Sofie House on the internet, she was nervous about ordering given that the wedding was less than a month and a half away. However, the dresses were so nice and the prices were so reasonable that I convinced her we should order. We had her measurements taken and sent them to Sofie House with an order for two dresses. We received two beautiful dresses in the mail in exactly 3 weeks after we placed the order. My wife absolutely loves the dresses! She admitted to me that she had her doubts beforehand, but now thinks Sofie House makes some of the best dresses that she has ever seen. In addition to the great prices, the quality of the dresses is outstanding! Lastly, the custom measurement feature that Sofie House allows means that there are no alterations needed for either of the dresses. She is supposed to sing at the wedding and she could not be more pleased about how she will look!
