Ordering wedding bands too early?

Glad to hear others bought their rings early too. FH thinks I'm crazy and wants me to wait to see if "another sale" comes around later on. Lol. He is the biggest procrastinator! I'm seriously gonna show him these responses so he sees I'm not doing anything unusual by buying a ring now.

I'll say, wait..... One year out is A LOT of time IMO

We're having a 7 month engagement and got our rings almost 2 months in. I wouldn't say it's too early for your though... it's just a ring.

Do it! I'm the biggest procrastinator, which is a huge issue when it comes to wedding stuff, as I'm in charge of all that! We're 2.5 months away from the wedding, and still have yet to pick out our bands. ALL of our summer weekends are booked solid for weddings and other stuff, and FH started a new job last month which tripled his commute, making weekdays impossible...soooo we may just not have any bands. I'm honestly ready to give up. So, yes, get that shit done now while you've got time and know what you want!

No, not to early. I didn't even purchase a band till four months AFTER the wedding. I didn't like any - so if you're ahead of the game. Good for you.

FH ordered mine in April and I got a surprise when i was working from home one day. He got a coupon or something that was going to expire. His I bought over memorial day weekend. I totally try mine on every so often when he's not home don't worry about "too early" get them when it makes sense to you financially

We got ours pretty early. FH bought mine the same time he bought the engagement ring. That was in May of 2014. I got his in the fall of 2014. Can't remember if it was Sept. or Oct. but somewhere around there. It was on sale and I also had a 30% off coupon. Couldn't pass that up!

We got ours a long time before the wedding, but we knew exactly what we wanted. NotFroofy had a plain 22 karat gold band she had inherited from her grandmother back in Wales, which she was giving to me. We knew we wanted a matching one for her, but 22 karat gold is rare in this country. I ended up finding one on eBay UK, and ordering it.

Honestly, I think there really isn't such a thing as "too early" to order a wedding band. Indeed, I think the ideal time to get one is to get it as a set when you get the engagement ring. Too many people get an engagement ring they love, and then can't find a wedding band that really goes with it.

I wear my wedding band all the time because I have no self control but when I get my new set I will not wear my band until my wedding

We have already ordered ours (and FH already wears his lol). I think if you're sure you love it and it's on sale then go for it!
