Origami Owl - moh Gift?

Lisa, on July 26, 2021 at 12:27 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
I’ve posted a few times about my MOH gift and for some reason, deep down nothing I’ve come up with seems perfect. I remember years ago my siblings & I purchased a living locket for our mom for either her birthday or Mother’s Day and it was a hit. They are super customizable and personal and have no correlation to the wedding (they do have charms for that - though!). I’m
Wondering if the concept of the locket is childish or not mature enough? I think my sister (MOH) would really love it since I can include her favorite things, Disney, her daughters initials, softball, pink, etc.

Are you familiar with the concept? What are your thoughts!?

I think a charm bracelet, locket or something similar is a great idea. However, I would refrain from using Origami Owl as it is a multi-level marketing scheme. In simple words, a pyramid scheme but, with products. According to a 2018 Income Disclosure Statement, 93% of individuals selling Origami Owl earn an average of $82.22 annually. Many of the sellers are told they will become financially independent and own their own business.

All in all, I would check Etsy rather than use this company. Their products are overpriced for what you get and you're contributing to something that essentially scams people.

    I agree.
Etsy will have some really cool charm jewelry though!

Interesting. I had no idea that was their business model now; not what I saw on Shark Tank years ago. I’ll keep that in mind when Shopping. Thanks!

I honestly would recommend that you find individual gifts for each person, instead of a generic gift for everyone. I wouldn't like that type of necklace and my best friend would know that about me. My sister would and I know that about her.

I’m not sure what you mean by a generic gift. This is a personalized locket.
