Ostrich feather centerpieces

Bambi, on July 5, 2017 at 6:54 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

Wondering how far in advance to put together my ostrich feather centerpieces? I dont want to wait too long and not have enough time but also dont want to do it too early and have the feathers get dusty or droopy. We're setting everything up ourselves the night before, which is a Friday. So...put them together the weekend before? The picture isn't exactly what they'll be but a general idea. Feathers, lights, Eiffel tower vase, pearls, etc. Smiley smile

Do a practice run to see how long it takes you to do one. Multiply that but how many you have to do and when you will have free time. So if it takes you 30 min to complete one and you have 10 to do, it will take you five hours to complete all. Will you have 5 hours to dedicate to this the weekend before your wedding?

I can complete an entire centerpiece in under 30 minutes based off the last practice run. I guess my main concern is putting them together too early and having them droop too much or gather dust somehow.

A hairdryer?! That works?! I hadn't thought of that! Nice to have a backup plan, thank you for the suggestion!

You could wrap the feathers in tissue paper to protect from dust, just wrap them delicately (obvs)
