Other rings on wedding day?

Bree, on February 25, 2014 at 11:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Will you be wearing only your engagement ring on your wedding day?

I have a ring that my grandmother gave me for my 14th birthday that I never take off, its on my middle finger on my right hand. Its just a simple 1/3 ct solitare. Will it look stupid if I leave it on? I never really thought about it till now, but I dont think Ive ever seen any bride wearing any other rings but her engagement ring.

Honestly, no one will notice unless they ask to see your ring and even then, they still probably will not think any thing of it. Just keep it on Smiley smile

I have a ring that DH gave me for our first Valentine's Day. I wear it on my ring finger on my right hand. I did not wear it the day of the wedding.

But DH has another ring that he wears on his right hand which he wore for the wedding.

It's a personal choice. That ring could be your something old.

I currently only wear two rings even though I own more that I really like. I mostly avoid wearing rings because I work in a lab; I had to have my engagement ring specially designed so it wouldn't get caught on my gloves. My other ring is my claddagh ring, and it's flat enough that it doesn't get in the way too much.

The other reason? If I wear three or more rings, I look like Phoebe Buffay.

Thank you girls! Im glad I can keep it on and not worry about it!

I usually only wear these two rings, I am very very sensitive to metals, the only metal I have found that I can wear is gold. It sucks! My FH got me a ring for christmas, a mothers ring, with our dogs names & birthstones.. (Im unhealthily attached to my dogs) it was sterling silver and after a few weeks my finger was so raw & sore I had to take it off. He is upset that I cant wear it because he spent alot on it and was reassured that I could wear it, but that was awful.

You can wear whatever you want! If you usually wear the ring everyday, keep it on! The only finger that needs to be available is that ring finger on your left hand. Smiley winking

I've been wearing mom mom's wedding set on my right hand since she died two years ago, so that's not stopping because of my wedding. In fact, it makes it more special.

My colors are purple, and I'm wearing my grammies ring on my right hand (it's an amethyst with diamonds) so matches our colors! Wanted something old to represent her, since shes no longer here I can't wait!

FH gave me a promise ring years ago and I am going to wear that. It's small and won't stand out that much, plus is has a lot of meaning to us.

My grandma gave me her 25th anniversary ring to keep, but also use as my something old. Wearing it on my right ring finger. My engagement ring is white gold and my grandmas ring is gold, but thats ok because it means alot to me!

I currently wear my engagement ring on my left hand and my grandmothers engagement ring on my right hand. It is a very old family heirloom that is not your typical engagement ring. It is a filigree style ring that I get many compliments on it. I wear it to feel close to her and on my wedding day I know she will be with me/

For the silver ring that you can't wear, I would suggest maybe painting the inside of the ring with clear nail polish and seeing if that keeps you from reacting. I do that with all my earrings.

As for rings for me, I have a ring that he got me for Christmas a few years ago. It is blue topaz, surrounded in white sapphires. I think I may wear it on my right hand as my 'something blue'. I am still undecided though because it is a little on the larger side.

I think it's totally fine Smiley smile. I'm planning on wearing a gold ring on my right hand with 2 pearls in it that was my great-grandmother's. It's my something old and has a lot of sentimental value.

I wear my grandmother engagement ring, my moms original wedding band and my moms anniversary band on my right hand and will not take it off just because of the wedding. I agree that as long as it's not on your left ring finger then you're good :0)

I'm planning on wearing a ring on my right hand also. As long as you have your ring finger open on your left hand... you can wear whatever else you want.
