Our wedding planning experience was a little crazy, we were engaged for 4 months and about 2 1./2 months out overhauled our entire wedding due to family circumstances. I'm hoping that sharing our wedding will encourage some other couples whose budgets are thin or who feel pressed for time! Scroll for pics!
Venue: Mom and Dad's backyard
DJ: one of our friends lent us a sound system and we hooked it up to Spotify
Decor, tables, chairs: Junk and Disorderly is a furniture rental place in DFW, where we got tables, chairs, food warmers, games (connect 4, jenga, corn hole), a drink cooler, cups, a settee, and some other things. For miscellaneous decor we crafted or hit up the goodwill or Haltom Thrift. The rugs I got from people selling them on Facebook marketplace.
Food: Mom cooked brisket tacos and we had sides. We had to be flexible with food as we decided to shop at a discount grocery store by our house. We fed 65 people for about $175. We got a cake for cutting for $25 and spent about $50 on pies at Sprouts for guests (if you buy bulk you can get a discount)
Photographer: Hope Gray (@hopejgray) (hopejgray.com) These photos don't do her justice! she is amazing.
Dress: Windsor
Suit: ASOS
Hair and Makeup: @belindadoeshair
Tableware: greenery we got from Hobby Lobby on a half off day, plates and silverware are plastic and from Amazon, and the cups and candlesticks were rented
Edit:
Things I would have done differently: (1) Printed a schedule for each family member and wedding party member and go over it in depth (we had a schedule but didnt go over it enough) (2) Asked for help more!
