Our last dating anniversary! 7 years today!

FutureMrsB (Aussie Bride!), on January 16, 2013 at 4:55 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7

Hi ladies!

Today is the last anniversary we will be celebrating in January ever! Today we celebrate 7 years today (I was 15 and he was 16) before we become husband and wife in September!

Anyone do anything special for their last dating anniversary? We usually go away for a night or two, but with a wedding coming up to pay for we had just planned to go out for dinner. Anyway I woke up really sick and took the day off work and FH came home with wine and seafood and canned the dinner date as he knew I was unwell! So sweet!

Awwww, congrats! I love that you guys have been together for so long, and what your FH did sounds like something my DH would do if we had a big date planned and I got sick. So sweet! We will still be celebrating our dating anniversary, since it actually falls on an annual trip for us and the cast of the ren faire that we work for. Every year on the first weekend in May, the cast of our faire travels down to TN for opening weekend of their faire. We go one day with everyone else, as our faire characters (Jester and Faerie) and one day as the Lord and Lady John Scarlet. It's a lot of fun, a chance to relax and we get away from all the insanity of the Kentucky Derby, which is the same weekend.

Really? The last one? Why are you stopping?

My hubby and I went on a date and celebrated our 4 years of being a couple on Januaury 14th. My mom says we prbably won't always celebrate it but I hope can. I fell like without that day, we would have never gotten married on April 14th.

Anyway, I hope you and your FH had a nice anniversary (aside from you being sick). Congrats on 7 years! That's awesome!

Congrats on 7 years! I agree with Mrs. Jaclyn Willson, we are going to continue to celebrate our dating anniversary after we get married. Our wedding anniversay will be April 26 (2014)and our dating anniversary is May 4 so they are only a week a part. We especially plan on celebrating our dating anniversay the first year we are married because we will be on our honeymoon and it will be our 10 year anniversary!! We also started dating young, he was 14 and I was 15!

Congrats, girl! I don't think FI & I we will ever stop celebrating our dating anniversary! We started out young too, 16 and 17 and when we officially tie the knot we could easily be celebrating our 14 or 15 year dating anniversary. It's crazy how time flies & moments become nothing but distant memories. Cherish every single moment!

I think you guys should do something inexpensive & fun, just to acknowledge that special day. Smiley laugh
