Our wedding is the Saturday after Easter how to make sure my wedding don't look easterish

CountryBride, on November 30, 2020 at 10:07 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

Our wedding is the weekend after Easter I don't want to come across as our wedding is easter themed because it's not. our colors are Pastel pink, purple, blue does this make our wedding to easterish we are thinking of eliminating the pink but I feel like having the pink brightens up the wedding our theme if we had one would be country romance in spring

I don't think those colors alone would make your wedding Easter themed! If you had Easter eggs and baskets and rabbits and such, then I think it would be Easterish. I think those colors are very spring themed, and you can certainly do decorations that won't make it feel like Easter. Are you planning to pick one of those as the "main" color, and have the other two be accent colors? Or are all three colors going to be evenly used throughout?

Thank you so much for your kind words, the reassurance is very much appreciated, I think we are going to use Purple and blue with pink as an accent I have time to plan since our wedding is in April 2022 but it's important to us to start planning

I agree with PP. You could also try using a richer shade for one of the accent colors to give a nice pop.

No, your colors remind me more of a spring theme

That makes sense! I think that would look really pretty, especially with the pink being an accent color! Here's a few pictures I found on Pinterest with that color scheme, I definitely don't think that these look Easter themed. I think that depending on the decor you choose, you can easily do a country spring romance theme with those colors! Our wedding is the Saturday after Easter how to make sure my wedding don't look easterish 1

Don't include Easter icons. Beyond that, no one will associate them together.

I don't think it would look easterish from their colors. As long as you aren't including a bunny or eggs I think you will be fine

The colors of flowers, and flowering trees, say spring, and new beginnings. I think Japanese Iris in purples,, blues and pinks are worth looking at. Very ruffly, romantic, with distinctive shapes. You can get the soft colors ( or bold ones) with more character than all round peonies, roses, tulips. Our wedding is the Saturday after Easter how to make sure my wedding don't look easterish 3

Avoid the pastel colors-add some jewel tones or neutrals.
