Out of the box venues in Spring, tx

Danielle, on January 7, 2020 at 12:50 PM Posted in Texas Planning 0 6
Anyone have any ideas for some out of the box venues in Spring, TX? Venues made for weddings and events cost our entire wedding budget before we even bring in food, alcohol, invitations, attire, etc. Tried the park route and others and it ends up costing just as much to rent tables, chairs, decor, etc. Why does it all cost so much?! This is overwhelming and ridiculous

Hey girl! I actually live in Spring and when I was looking in the area, ran into the same problems. Do you mind me asking what your venue budget is? I scoured the entire Houston/surrounding area and found a few more affordable optionsSmiley smile

I don’t really have a venue budget yet but I wanted the entire wedding to stop at 5k and that would include venue. I guess I was just dreaming lol Did you find anything that would work for this? We don’t mind traveling a tad but can’t really do a destination wedding.

My fiance is a firefighter so I looked for venues in Texas that incorporated that. Houston Heights has a fire station that they rent out! I want to say when I looked into it last year it was around $2500... that included tables and chairs if I remember correctly. I know it probably doesn't have the same tie to you but it's pretty inside! Also in Houston so transportation wouldn't be a big deal for anyone.

If this isn't your taste, go to the website Peerspace. You can specify what the event is and how many people you'll have, and it gives you options on places that rent to the public. I found this space for $175/hour with a 5 hour minimum. It has tables and chairs included. You'd be looking at less than $1000 if you booked 5 hours. https://www.peerspace.com/pages/listings/5e0ec3bdf670ae000db2d134

My guy is a firefighter as well! Ha, small world. Thank you so much for all of your help! It’s nice to know someone understands. I have a lot of health issues so I don’t work and you know how firefighting is. I am just so overwhelmed with trying to afford a big wedding on top of everything else lol I will definitely take a look at both of those! I appreciate the help. Are y’all already married or is it still in the works?

How funny!!! I DO know how tough the firefighter fiance life is. Does you fiance work in Houston or a surrounding area? Mine works in Conroe. I struggled to find affordable stuff in the area that would accommodate our large crowd so we decided to get married at a venue in College Station. I graduated from Texas A&M and he went to fire school thereSmiley smile In all honesty, if he had been okay with it, I would have saved our money, gone to the court house, and spent $5k on a nice vacation. lol

He works south Montgomery county, aldine, and Klein. Aw, cool! That’s a nice area up there. I know what you mean. We have talked about that but we keep circling back around to the big wedding. There are just too many people we want to share it with. But yikes, I had no idea planning a wedding would be so expensive! And overwhelming lol Waaaaayyy too much to think about haha
