Outdoor Ceremony NO MUSIC? Anyone else?

Some sort of music is nice. It adds another element of depth to the space. If there isn't music, it will feel like something is missing (even if people don't realize what that missing thing is). If there isn't power, I would hire some sort of live musician. Whatever type you like. I would also make sure that the fountain in the lake is turned OFF during the ceremony. The splashing water will make it hard to hear. Will your vows be amplified?

Do a test. Watch a a wedding ceremony on a movie (father of the bride/love actually/whatever…) watch it first on mute. Then watch it again with the soundtrack. Which do you prefer?

Im having an outdoor ceremony, I hired a string trio to play music, it just would be weird walking in to silence!! I am getting married at a gazebo by a pond in a local park!

When my Mom and Dad got married the person who was doing the music never showed up. We all walked with out music.

I am doing iPod for ceremony music since our ceremony will be very short and there aren't many people in the BP.
