Outdoor Ceremony or Outdoor Reception?

Neither. March in the midwest is not to be gambled with.

I'd choose outdoor ceremony so we wouldn't have to deal with noise ordinances. We plan on having an outdoor ceremony, although April in New England is dicey. Our reception venue can have the ceremony inside, we'll just need to give them four days notice if that's what we decide to do.

Neither! We're getting married in February so everything will be indoors. We originally planned on getting married in the fall and were going to have an outdoor ceremony & indoor reception but changed our venue when we changed seasons.

Outdoor ceremony inside reception so the bugs leave the food alone

We are having both outside! We are having our event at the Firehouse Restaurant in Sacramento in their outdoor courtyard. The bar is inside but opens to the main area through huge wall sliders.

An outdoor ceremony is more my style than an outside reception. The ceremony is sweet, simple, not too long, and an outdoor ceremony helps with the feel of the beauty of coming together as one

We booked our venue specifically for the outdoor ceremony space. Its a beautiful spaice under an old tree. The picture below doesn't do the space justice.
The reception will be inside with option to go outside on the patio where we'll have a few game set up.

I want a outside wedding

Outdoor ceremony! They can be so romantic. We had the option, but I'm not about to miserably sweating in July, and I'm sure not going to make everyone else sit outside either.

Indoor ceremony since it will be in a church. Outdoor reception since it will be May, and hopefully nice weather!

We had an outdoor ceremony and reception and it was great.

I would like an outdoor ceremony and reception, however northern NV weather will be the deciding factor the week of (its in Feb) Most likely it will be indoor though, which is okay, it will still look fabulous

Outdoor ceremony for sure! Outdoor reception only dependent on weather or climate control, and the bug situation. Guests who are hot, cold, wet or bitten will not be happy--no matter how delicious food & drinks!

Our whole wedding is outside but, we have overhead coverage for the reception and ocean breezes to keep us comfy.

All indoor. I live in Minnesota and our weather has a mind of it's own. In April it could be snowing, raining, windy, or just beautiful out. You never know.

I'm avoiding outdoors entirely, but if I had to pick one it's definitely the ceremony.

I definitely love the idea of both, but if I had to choose, I'd go with outdoor ceremony. I think planning an outdoor reception in the New England weather would just make my anxiety go through the roof no matter what season it is! We are actually having our ceremony outdoors and our reception indoors.

Outdoor ceremony for sure. It takes the least amount of time but can also make some beautiful photos.
