Outdoor wedding in Houston in July?

Jesse's Boo, on June 13, 2014 at 9:48 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 17

Anyone crazy enough to do this?

Just wondering if anyone is. Ours is inside in a hotel and absolutely no way are we stepping outside. Just regretting that we won't have any outside shots.

Yikes! I'm in Houston as well, and my wedding is in September at 7pm and I'm worried about the heat lol. July is going to be scorching! I'm providing my guests with a lemonade stand outside though so hopefully that helps a bit. Smiley smile

I'm in Miami, wedding also in July and I wouldn't dare. Lol. We can still have outside shots though, if we simply go outside. Haha.

We're during a late wedding in June outside - fingers crossed. We've had so many nice days of here I just hope one of those appears on my wedding day! We do have a back-up plan. We're getting married in the garden/courtyard area of a historic chapel. So if it ends up being to warm, we'll move the wedding inside.

If it's that hot, just don't do it outside. No one will pay any attention to the ceremony or the reception.

My friend is having an outdoor wedding in August...in Tampa. I feel so bad for FH because he has to stand out there in a tux. At least it's on the water so there might be a breeze

Ours is in July and it's outdoors..but it's in Lubbock. We have heat, but it's usually dry heat and it's not so bad after sunset, which is when our ceremony and reception will be.

Hell no! That's why we went March. I'm also in Houston and I don't even like to leave my house in July and August.

You could get some outside shots, but late in the evening and after spraying mosquito spray.

Edited b/c I wrote my response early in the am and I had too many errors!

I schedule my beach weddings for shortly before sunset when it is cooler. And there is nearly always a breeze at the beach.

This is one of the reasons I changed my plans from a traditional June wedding (we were originally going to get married in Washington state and I have always wanted a June wedding) to a March wedding. Haha.

Our ceremony and cocktail hour is outside. Our reception is inside. I'm just hoping it doesn't rain now...

(We live in Houston, getting married in Austin.)

Ours is outside in the south in late May, so we're having a morning ceremony before it heats up.

Date twin! My wedding is outdoors but I live in Oregon so the weather is nowhere near as hot as it is in Houston. Honestly, if I was invited to a Houston wedding outdoors in July, i'd make up an excuse not to go. That is just TOO HOT.

Never would I dare! Its WAY too hot, hell its 82 degrees out and its not even 9AM. I went to an outdoor ceremony in Austin in July, and it was MISERABLE.

We're doing one in August in houston. I'm not too worried about the heat because if it's that bad or raining we'll just do it inside. Definitely doing outside pics though!

When planning a wedding in Texas, Houston provides several venues worth considering. The city is home to many suitable locations for marriage ceremonies, receptions, dinners, and parties. Wedding venues fitting every choice, price range, and style can be found in the city. I recommend you to go to House Plantation for the best wedding ceremony ideas.
