My FH is dead set on real flowers. It's really important to him. I always wanted real flowers too. I could not even imagine fake flowers for my wedding until the other day. We are getting married outside and so we went to take pictures of the space exactly one year out to help us plan decorations. There were definitely bees around because they have some kind of lavender or sage plant. No one is allergic or anything, and it was almost all non-aggressive types like bumblebees. But I'm still kind of nervous because I want bee-friendly flowers in all of our arrangements. I'm not scared of bees, but they make me a bit nervous and I definitely don't want them buzzing around me while I'm trying to say my vows or whatever. I'm going to be nervous enough.
Do any of you have some tips or tricks for non-harmful ways of keeping bees away from my wedding flowers? I read online that you can put cloves in a lemon and hide them around, or cucumber peels?? Does that actually work??
