Outdoors Florida Wedding in November

My Daughter's Wedding, on August 30, 2017 at 6:41 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 16

I wanted to share something we learned by accident. We had a huge change of plans and I mean huge at the last minute. Due to time constraints a former indoors wedding now outdoors had to be set up the night before. If anyone knows the weather in Florida in November is hot! We had been watching the forecast and no rain was forecasted so we set tables up outside and draped two layers of linens and prayed! There was no time to iron but with overlay being damask print we figured wrinkles would not be so obvious. What happened next is temps dropped in evening hours and dew and moisture set in around 6pm. Tablecloths were soaked!. The next day the sun came out dried the linens and all the wrinkles too! We had fresh ironed linens naturally!!! God provided for my daughter that day!!!!

The only time I was ever in Florida (Orlando) in November, it was so cold that I had to buy a new jacket.

I don't think I've experienced a hot November here in Florida....

It can get chilly, but again it's November. It's not 90 here constantly.. thank god.

Ehh... I mean last thanksgiving it was like 85 degrees with high humidity so that's pretty hot to be sitting outside

I have lived here my whole life and there have been warm/very warm November's and there have been cool and even cold Novembers. In Florida you never know! Im glad it worked out for your daughter that day. But I am also curious about the tee pees lol

I'm in Florida and have chosen November for my wedding. It could be hot, cold, sunny, rainy, who knows? So I picked a venue with excellent outdoor AND indoor options, that only does one wedding per day, so I'll have my pick of spaces that I love no matter what the weather is! That was my #1 priority in a venue. I didn't want to have to worry about weather for a single minute leading up to the big day!

Yes November can be hot, warm, or cool. This past year it was warm and cooler in evening. We were in south Florida. The Tee Pees were for the children. We have a lot of children in our immediate family and with the sudden changes needed to entertain them and it worked.

Looks as though the kids had a blast.

I've lived here for over 35 years. One Thanksgiving it was rainy and cold enough to cause condensation on the windows (reminded me of TG up north). It has been hot, it has been chilly.

We got married in Oct. with an outdoor ceremony & indoor reception. If it had not been overcast that day, it would have been quite warm.

@GymRat I am now sane enough a year later after all the planning for 150 person wedding all to be cancelled two weeks before the wedding to be on again for only 40 people in a different location with new obstacles and only a week to prepare and housing every ounce of every item for the wedding in my little home and figuring out what to do with it all and get through all the holidays and some more babies being born and working a full time job and helping the bride and groom with his new paralysis and coping and 8 of the grandbabies sill want to come see Nana and Papaw on weekends and we want to see them too but all the wedding stuff halts when the babies are here....I think you understand now. I just hope that even thou it is a year later and I am sharing maybe the brides that are on here now might benefit from something I am sharing now. Better late than never
