Over or Under: 126 Guests?

Over. Our total guest list is about 175, but we are budgeting for 150. We will see once RSVPs start to roll in

Under - we have 125 but expecting around 100 only!

Way over. So far, our guest list is at 365. We both come from large Hispanic families. My maternal grandmother had 12 kids, and my paternal grandmother had 13! His family is similar in size, so you can imagine how many family members we have after you combine their children and spouses.

So today is our RSVP deadline . We have 15 guest who haven’t RSVP’d (6 are couples and three singles ) we invited 192 people and right now 138 said they will be in attendance . Still waiting to hear from the other 15, but we are praying to be as close to 140 as possible . 126 is a great number.

Under! 75 invited. We only want very close friends & family at our wedding, people who we see or talk to on a very regular basis. This will make it more meaningful for us & we will actually have time to talk & have fun with all our guests.

Well known anthropologist Dunbar proved that people can actually have a limited number of close relationships: 5 intimates, 15 good friends/family & 50 close friends/family relationships. So if you take that into account & you want close people only, you cannot be over 100 between two of you 😃 (actually it will be under 100 because couples often have some joint friends)

I will be having around 125 guests

Our venue caterer has a 125 minimum, but we are at about 115 guests

We are inviting close to 200, but I expect a minimum of 50 to come since they're in a different state and can't be bothered to come, which is fine with me!

We are at 284 and are still finalizing the list. My mom’s family is massive but we don’t expect them to come to a kid free wedding.
