Over: It'll be 20 months when all said and done. I really wanted a fall wedding but there was no way I was going to drive myself nuts with trying to do it in 6 months.

We were living in a different city when we got engaged, and had plans to return home. For starters we couldn't afford to pay for a wedding because we were saving to buy a home. We also wanted to wait to start wedding planning until we returned home and recovered from the initial expense of buying a home.

Over - 3 years and 2 months. We had thought it would be 14 months but then talked to the financial aid office for my fiancee's vet school and found out just how much aid we would lose being married so we are waiting til after graduation (+ 6 months because I really want a winter wedding!)
