Just how things fell into place. I was graduating undergrad and wanted to get my feet into my career before I started planning a wedding. He’s finishing school too, so it worked perfectly!

Thanks! well, we had been together for almost 7 years, so usually for New Year’s Eve, we just go to one of our houses and watch tv and the ball drop together. So, we were at his house that year and about 30 seconds before the ball dropped, I went to go sit on his lap like I usually do, but he started standing up and we both got confused. So he sat back down and after we kissed when the ball dropped, he told me to get up, so I did and started to turn away to go sit back on the couch, and I saw him get down on one knee out of the corner of my eye and he had the ring out he knew I wouldn’t want anybody else there, so it was perfect for us

WAY OVER. It will be 4.5 years engaged by time the wedding day and almost just shy from 9 years together as a couple. I said to everyone I waited 4.5 years for the ring and I'll wait 4.5 for the real thing.

He proposed on January 25th. and we're getting married on October 14th. So we will have a little under 10-month long engagement.
