This one is definitely a frequently asked question! When you exclude the engagement ring and the honeymoon, the average cost of a wedding is $27,000. Unfortunately, most couples budget an average of $16,000 for their wedding and 40% of couples go over their budget! Based on the total ceremony and reception costs, couples end up spending an average of $216 per guest.

    Way under. The place I'm having it at with the ceremony and reception. $4,200. So with the DJ Photographer and florist will still be under $10k

    We've budgeted for WAY below that! We're trying to keep the while wedding for under 5k and so far we are right one track to do that. Helps a lot when the ceremony and reception will be held at my church for next to nothing!

    Coming to grips with how expensive things are was the biggest challenge. Luckily we are older and can afford to splurge a little. Wish daddy was paying though. Lol.

    Hi. My wedding budget is under 27K period. So many things we have help with to free up money. Also we didnt spend thousands on rings. Venue is 12K. Honeymoon is 4K... but our Honeymoon is paid for as a gift... the only thing we are paying for still with help is our Venue... so we came out Great! Love my family.

    Depends on your state. I live in one of the top wedding destinations in the US and we are going with one of the top caterers in the city. We both decided that we to have everything we wanted for the wedding. The price isnt an issue for us. We could have planned everything out for way less but we are happy with the choices that we've made.
