Did you contract a DJ for about 8 hours then? Trying to get a ballpark on additional hours to ask for

My ceremony will be quick...about 15-20 minutes. My cocktail hour is 1 hour and my reception is 4 hours.

Hi Deanna! That's great, short and sweet! Smiley heart Will you be including traditional dances & details in your reception like the cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss, to name a few?

Over. I think ours will be 6-7 hours which is pretty typical for our area and is common when getting married in a Catholic Church - ceremony will probably start early like 2:30pm.

Makes perfect sense, Maria, especially given your ceremony and timeline! Smiley heart Are you having a cocktail hour at your reception venue and is it included in this?

Our venue isn't so formal where I would call it "cocktail hour" but guests will be able to get drinks from the bar and small snacks will be available while they wait for us to arrive. We are doing our pictures before the ceremony so the wait will probably be 30-45 minutes tops. Smiley smile

It will be between that and 6. The hall we are looking at allows 6, but I think we have to clean it so probably closer to the 4.5

Under for sure!! No dancing at our breakfast reception, so I think ours will probably be 2.5 or 3 hours

Ours will be 3-4 hours. Reception will start around 5:30 and we will have last call at 8:30, everyone out by 9/9:30. This includes short cocktail hour while we take family pictures, dinner, and dancing.
