Over or Under: Average Honeymoon Budget?

Under, our budget is at about $3500.

Our honeymoon budget is $2,000

We havent booked our honeymoon yet but looking at all inclusive stuff we're planning on about 3k so hopefully we stay there or come in under budget!

We will be over. Our flights to New Zealand (from Chicago) will cost about $4500. Unfortunately we are both in grad school so we have to wait until winter break from school to take our honeymoon (we are getting married Sept. 14, 2019), which is also peak tourist season in NZ. We're planning to stay at some cheaper Airbnb rentals in NZ for 13 days/12 nights. We have a few excursions/adventures in mind, like skydiving and Maori cultural night. We will also be renting a car to drive from north island to south island and go hiking at a few different locations along the way.

Probably over, but were treating it like a big vacation/trip. 2wks in the UK. So flights and accommodations alone get close to the average.

It has not been booked yet, but we discussed not going over about 4k..... We want it to be special but we are all about making sure we are being realistic also

Over. This is the only vacation we'll be taking for at least 4 years because I'm in grad school so we wanted to splurge. We are doing 9 nights at a very nice (and pricey) all inclusive carribean resort with an upgraded room, so it came out to around $5500.

We have a lot of time to plan our honeymoon but I am all about saving money and when I read this discussion about the average being $4500, I was shocked for a second. But then I realized it is 2019 and nothing is cheap so I am estimating that we won't be close to that because we are not going out of the country and my future in laws own a condo where we are planning on going so that will give us more money to spend on other things.

So far we are under. We booked a trip to Maui for $2,900 that included airfare, hotel, and a rental car. We are yet to pay for dining and activities so we will definitely end up paying more!

I think we will be around that!

Over! We are going to be in Hawaii (Honolulu) for 8 nights for the wedding festivities then flying to Lanai for 5 nights. We splurged on the staying at The Four Seasons there. I used my Amex Platinum card so there are a ton of perks with it. I highly recommend getting one.

Then we will take a second honeymoon a month later to England and Italy. England is really to see family (my fiancé is from there), then he and I fly alone to Italy! Yay! We are staying in Rome and then going to The Amalfi Coast. We really tried to get great hotels/travel at good rates using miles and the Amex Platinum for room upgrades, etc... We try to stay frugal but we love nice accommodations.

We decided, since it is our second marriage, that taking this time out of our busy busy lives was really important and its really the only time we could justify all this travel/expense.

Ohh way under.. we purchased an all inclusive package for 5days 4nights to Oahu Hawaii for $300 & flights to Hawaii just became super cheap from LAX

Over all of it except party because we heve exactly 10 and also on age. He will be 33 and I will only be 29! And under on honeymoon budget

Way under! We are doing a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas! Between the cruise, flights, transporation, and hotel (were going down the day before the cruise leaves) the total was only $1800ish!

We will be over. Tickets to Thailand next December are going to be ~$5k and our hotels for the three weeks were ~$1,500. We have not booked any excursions yet. We are looking to get certified in diving while we are there. So we will probably be upwards of $8k.

Over! We want to be gone for 2-3 weeks in New Zealand. So flights alone are about that budget
