    6 1/2 years, as of Sunday.

    Granted, we also have a small age difference, we're in the arts, and we live in the NYC area. So. Factors conspired against us.

    But I'm more than 6 years older than him, and we met when he'd only been out of college a year. Took him a bit to be ready for this step. I've been sitting on the "ready when you are" stoop for several years. He's worth it, though.

    Over, we got engaged at 11.5 years, and by the time we get married it’ll be almost 15 yrs together. We did everything backwards. Moved in at 5 months, bought our 1st house at 3 yrs, had a baby at 6 and now engaged!

    Ummm we're in a relationship starting mid June 2016. So to count up to today, it's 2 years in approx. 5-6 months from now

    We met our freshman year of college and started dating before our second semester. We both hung out in the freshman dorm lobby a lot so it just worked out that we met and became friends with the same people. Been together ever since. Smiley smile

    It was over two years. Every couple’s situation is different. I’m honestly glad we waited and will have a two year engagement because it gave me time to advance in my career and work on myself overall.
